The Morris & Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation provides operating support for our internship program and eight civics programs across the Washington, DC Metro Area. The foundation is committed to building a stronger community for residents of the Washington, DC area through support of programs in arts and humanities, community services, education, health and the environment.


The Commonweal Foundation‘s support makes our Maryland internships possible. From its inception in 1968, this foundation has expanded its programs from just providing student loans for financially needy applicants to providing all sorts of services, grants, and scholarships to students in the Washington, DC metro area.


The Community Foundation for Montgomery County helps support our programs in Montgomery County, MD.



The Community Foundation for Northern Virginia helps support our programs in the city of Alexandria and Fairfax County, VA.

Rose and Harold Kramer Fund provides general support for our programs in Montgomery County, MD.


The Ruddie Memorial Youth Foundation supports Liberty’s Promise through the Ruddie Memorial Youth Advancement Grant, which will help Liberty’s Promise develop civic engagement after-school programs in Spanish with an English language learning component in Alexandria City and Arlington public schools.  The Ruddie Memorial Youth Foundation mission is to identify and disseminate innovative and effective programs that help disadvantaged youth to reach their full potential.


The Jim & Carol Trawick Foundation helps fund our four Montgomery County civics programs. The Trawick Foundation assists local health and human service and arts non-profit organizations in Montgomery County, MD.
