September 13, 2011 Bob Ponichtera, Executive Director of Liberty’s Promise, was recognized at the September 13th meeting of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors for LP’s partnership with Fairfax County Public Library (FCPL) and the Institute of Museum and Library Services. By providing 95 immigrant youth with library internships in the past three years, FCPL received a 2011 Achievement Award from The National Association of Counties.
In February 2011, Montgomery College TV interviewed Ms. Austin Morris, Program Officer for Wheaton High School & Downtown Silver Spring for its program, Crossroads Café.
