GOVERNMENT AGENCIES

Thanks to agencies such as these, Liberty’s Promise is able to help immigrant youth aspire to their own American Dream.

FEDERAL GOVERNMENT

The Institute of Museum and Library Services supports our internship program in Fairfax County, which places low-income immigrant youth in ten-week internships in Fairfax County Public Library branches.

LOCAL GOVERNMENT SUPPORTERS

The City of Alexandria, Virginia, through the Alexandria Fund for Human Services – Youth Fund, helps support our after-school civic engagement program at T.C. Williams High School.

The City of Gaithersburg supports our professional internship program for young immigrants living in Gaithersburg, MD.

Support from the Montgomery County Executive and County Council allows us to run all four of our after-school civics programs in Montgomery County in addition to supporting our professional internship program.  Continued support through the county’s Community Development Block Grant enables us to target the DHCA-designated Mid-County focus area of Wheaton/Glenmont through our civics programs at Wheaton and JFK High Schools as well as our professional internship program.

Support from the Prince George’s County Council helps support our after-school civic engagement programs at High Point and Parkdale High Schools in Beltsville and Riverdale, MD, respectively.
