Liberty’s Promise Selected to Join Stand Together Foundation’s Catalyst Community
Liberty’s Promise (LP) is proud to announce it has been selected to participate in Stand Together Foundation’s Catalyst Program, a management training and peer-learning program to help non-profits further their mission to transform communities. LP is one of 11 non-profits joining the Catalyst Community – a growing network of over 300 organizations across all 50 states working to transform the lives of more than one million Americans through bottom-up empowerment.
July Alumni Spotlight: Madhura (Wheaton High School)
Madhura is an alumna of Liberty’s Promise at Wheaton High School class of 2011. She has since gone on to get a bachelor’s degree with a double major in Business Management and Information Systems at Salisbury University and recently received her MBA with a concentration in real estate finance from Saint Joseph’s University.
March Alumni Spotlight: Aminta (Quince Orchard High School)
Aminta’s tenacity is all her own, but she speaks enthusiastically about the value of Ms. Escobar’s role, saying, “It’s great! Sometimes there are a lot of opportunities out there, but one does not know about them. Upon having the help, someone to be the guide, then one is encouraged to continue their education.”
November Alumni Spotlight: Ayline Deras (Northwood High School)
LP shines this month's Alumni Spotlight on Ayline Deras, an alumna of the Northwood High School program in Montgomery County, MD.
Ayline graduated from Northwood High School in Spring 2022 and is one of our most recent recipients of the New Futures scholarship for $7,800! Ayline is going to Montgomery College to pursue a degree in Criminal Justice.
September Alumni Spotlight: Jenny Escobar (Gaithersburg High School)
Jennifer Escobar is an alumna of our Liberty's Promise Gaithersburg CE-BELL program. She came from El Salvador at the age of 17 and is currently a graduate student at the University of Maryland, School of Social Work with a concentration in community action and social policy.
July Alumni Spotlight: Jaime Reyes (Silver Spring Program)
LP shines this month's Alumni Spotlight on Jaime Reyes, an alum of the Silver Spring program in Montgomery County, MD.
Jaime is a 2015 graduate of the University of Maryland and received his Bachelor's in International Business and Finance. He currently works as a Global Business Process Specialist for Roche in San Jose, Costa Rica, where he designs and oversees the implementation of financial processes for the company's Americas region.
