Congratulations to Josue Hernandez, Parkville High School (Baltimore County), Class of 2019, for making it to the quarter-finals of the hit talent show Tengo Talento, Mucho Talento!

We spoke with Josue about his journey. Here's what he said:

"I immigrated to the United States two years ago, I am originally from a village called Zamora in Honduras. I moved to be able to provide a better future for my family and to re-connect with my father who moved to the United States when I was a baby. The most difficult thing for me since moving has been the language, arriving here and not knowing English was very difficult, even causing me to stop singing for a period. I had to apply myself to focus on learning English which meant having less time to practice singing, my greatest passion

"Tengo Talento Mucho Talento" was always a goal for me, I always wanted to audition, even back in Honduras, however, it wasn't until this year, that I was able to audition, as they were virtual due to Covid-19. I remember the exact date and time of my audition: September 8, 2020, 6 pm in the afternoon. I was very excited. I was ready to give my best. I've made it to the Quarter Finals after 4 yes’ from the judges and hope to make it and join the final 5 and become a member of the "Tengo Talento Mucho Talento” band."
